About Me
Orientation:
Straight
Appearance:
Daine is a slim and short to some people. She’s only about five foot four, and her younger friends somehow managed to go through their growth spurt before her, leaving her a few inches shorter than them. The doctor said she wouldn’t grow much more so she’s stuck at her tiny height, though she’s ok with it. Because of her love for sports, Daine stays active most of the time. She’s hardly ever sitting still long enough to waste time being bored. All her running around leaves Daine very hungry, meaning she eats a lot but normally, eventually, works it off. She weighs about 120 pounds, even if half of that are muscles. Storm cloud grey are the color of her always friendly eyes. When she’s upset they tend to darken and it’s just the opposite for when she’s happy. Daine’s hair is long; almost down to the middle of her back, and is normally thrown up in a sloppy ponytail. Because she’s normally out in the sun, her hair’s a nice red brown color. Because of her love of all things strange, she normally dyes her hair tips a different color whenever she chooses, because her parents could care less.
Personality:
Even though she may occasionally get compliments on how pretty she is or how small she is, Daine is very self-conscious about her looks. She doesn’t compliment herself unless she really thinks she looks nice though she won’t be rude and disagree with you if you think the opposite of what she does. Despite the fact that she doesn’t always like how she looks, Daine is very outgoing. She’s comfortable in the middle of the crowd with all eyes on her. Loud and friendly, Daine doesn’t mind meeting new people and making them friends, even though she has very few people who are actually close to her. She can hide her feelings very well and can keep others from seeing when she’s upset or mad. While she likes being in the middle of a crowd, Daine still likes quiet places where she can sit and talk with one of her close friends or read a book away from everyone. Daine is a very caring person. She’s just compassionate at heart, and when she sees someone who is hurting, she always wants to go and help them feel better no matter what the cost is. Not a follower, Daine likes to be the head of the group. She doesn’t enjoy being told what to do, but if her gut tells her that it’s what she should be doing, that’s what she’ll do. Daine’s heart leads her more than her brain, though. She can be a bit of a daredevil at times because she loves the feeling of the heart-pounding, breath-taking adrenalin rushes. Because of her mom and dad’s divorce, Daine has become very responsible. She has to take care of herself and her mother the best she can, seeing that her mom doesn’t.

Family:
Mom – a crazy drunk who lays on the couch all day.
Dad – Dunno. She never sees him.
History:
Her parents divorced when she was eight, tearing her older brother to pieces. When she was ten, on her parents anniversary, Daine found her brother in his room, face down on his bed. He had killed himself. Ever since then, she’s promised herself she wouldn’t lose another friend. After her brother’s suicide, her mother became an alcoholic and her dad disappeared off the face of the earth after the funeral.

Name:

About me:
lol. I’m a pretty nice person. (: I’m obsessed with smilie faces, so if I don’t have on at least a few times when I’m talking to you, I’m probably in a bad mood. I’m gonna be a sophomore this school year, and I’m so totally not excited; I’d just rather not grow up just yet. A flute is what I play in my school band and I’m loving it. Marching band is pretty much my life in the fall, but I’ll try to be active. Making new friends is something I love to do, so if I drop you a random PM, I’m not gonna eat you. I promise. Lol I have… -counts- four cats, three dogs, two guinea pigs, and one ferret. They’re all my babies. (: I’m getting a job at our local vet when I turn sixteen next year because my dad’s friend owns the place. That’s what I want to be when I grow up too – a vet.
Sample RP:
Daine raced across the lawn to the school building, the green grass blurring with all the nameless faces and buildings as she passed by them. Her breath was still coming out even because of all the running she did in her spare time, though she could feel herself tiring. Nearly late, Daine had to run all the way to school after making her mom a lunch and dinner to keep her alive until Daine would be back from school.
Shoving her way through the double doors of the school building, Daine’s feet flew out from under her and she ungracefully landed on her butt in the doorway. The impact made her teeth rattle in her head, and knocked her backpack from her shoulder. Homework and school books were scattered all around her getting footprints on them.
Shaking her head to clear it, Daine laughed loudly thinking about how stupid she must have looked. She rolled over onto her knees and gathered up her books and papers, trying to dust off the dirt and grim of the other late students.
After gathering them all up, Daine scrambled to her feet, shoving them into her bag and ran down the hallway, for once ignoring all the people looking at her, and ducked into her classroom a fraction of a second before the bell rang shrilly over her head.
